Program Description
The Doctoral Programme in Anthropology aims:

  • To produce graduates with critical perspective and respect for the diversity and dynamics of socio-cultural life in local, national and global contexts.
  • To produce graduates who are able to conduct independent and collaborative anthropological research using intra–disciplinary and inter-disciplinary approaches. This is important to describe and analyze the reality and dynamics of socio-cultural diversity.
  • To produce graduates who are able to build and develop theory and methodology in the field of anthropological studies relating to social sciences in particular and the humanities in general.


Prospective students who wish to enroll in the Ph.D. Programme in Anthropology must take the SIMAK written test.


The fees for the Ph.D. Programme in Anthropology include the Development Fund amounting to 5.000.000,- IDR to be paid only upon admission and the tuition fees amounting to 12.500.000,- IDR to be paid every semester.
