Oath Vow for Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Vocational Program from Faculty of Medicine

Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia (FK UI) on Sunday, August 29 took an oath for Student of Physiotherapy and occupational therapy vocational study program as an intermediate in both major. On the same occasion, the same release conducted by graduate studies program major in: Hospital, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy. The event was held at Auditorium of Technology Assessment and Application Agency (BPPT) 3rd floor, Jalan MH. Thamrin 8, Central Jakarta, at 9:00 pm and was attended by  Dean of Faculty of Medicine, Dr.dr.Ratna Sitompul, SpM(K), Vice Dean of Faculty of Medicine, Prof. dr. Pratiwi Sudharmono, SpMK, PhD, Head of 2010 FK Alumni Association (ILUNI) FK, Dr. Doddy Partomihardjo, SpM, and Head of vocational program, Dr. Muhammad Hikam who represent UI President.

Engineeringtown.com managed by the EDIC (Engineering Data and Information Center) Faculty of Engineering Universitas Indonesia (FT UI), under Mrs. Paramita Atmodiwirjo, ST., M. Arch., PhD. leadership, n August 5, 2010 held a road show to Madrasah Ibtidayah Pembangunan UIN Jakarta. This road show aim is to build awareness to engineeringtown.com schools which provide information and increase knowledge concern to engineering science. The road show was greeted enthusiastically by Principal and Deputy Principal and also the teachers in MI Pembangunan UIN and also students in these schools are enthusiastic to participate on this road show. Road show started with a brief introduction from the MC, followed by a presentation about engineeringtown by Muthiah Rahimah, SE as the coordinator of EDIC FTUI.

Department of Mechanical Engineering (DTM) Faculty of Engineering Universitas Indonesia (FT UI) in collaboration with ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers) Chapter Indonesia, held a Training Series for Young Engineers on Basic of Refrigeration System on August 25, 2010, at Lecture Building II FT UI, Room S.101. This training series is the second series, after previously held at Institute Technology Bandung (ITB).

Vocation student of Universitas Indonesia in the year 2013, don’t have to study in their faculty, despite they will have their own college building located near Kukusan Village (Kukel). To remark this building, on Monday, August 9, first pole erected was done by UI President Prof. Dr. der. Soz Gumilar Rusliwa Somantri. The event was attended by Mayor of Depok, Dr. Ir. H. Nur Mahmudi Ismail, M. Sc, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Student Affairs, Dr. Ir. Muhammad Anis M. Met, Vice Rector for Research, Development, and Industrial Cooperation, Sunardji, SE, MM, Secretary of University, Prof. Dr. I Ketut Surajaya M.A, Head of UI vocation program, Dr. Muhammad Hikam and Director of the Jakarta State Polytechnic (PNJ), Prof. Dr. Johny Wahyuadi Mudaryoto Soedarsono.

This event started from 9.00 a.m. was attend by: CEO and founder of Martha Tilaar Group, Dr. Martha Tilaar, Secretary of Indonesian Ministry of Health (Kemenkes RI), dr. Freshman class of 2010 look boisterous and enthusiast at the Balairung Hall, they immediately stood up and made a row when question and answer session in Tribute to Campus (Cinta Kampus) event was held on Monday, August 16. This event discuss about Tobacco Hazards, which was initiated by UI staff who are members of working group (POKJA) to campaign smoking free movement and create UI Tobacco-Free Zone in 2012.


Preserving Underwater Cultural Heritage

Sniffing spices as Indonesian prime commodity in the past, wrote opinion in origami paper, underwater auction simulation, opening text panel for underwater cultural heritage and playing giant board game concern to ship wreck, are interactive activities in exhibition of “Warisan Budaya Bawah Air” (Underwater Cultural Heritage) in National Museum, which was held from August 4 until 15 hold by Archeology Department Universitas Indonesia, coordinated with Directorate General of History and Ancient, Directorate of Underwater Conservation, Directorate General of Coastal Sea and Small Islands and Fishery, and also National Museum.


UI Signed MOU with Pertamina

Universitas Indonesia (UI) ambition to create high quality human resources could be realize consistently, despite this campus which was erected in 1849 will have multidiscipline science laboratory which was plan to be build in Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) and donate by Pertamina (Persero). To realize this laboratory building, thus signing of Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) between UI and Pertamina was held on Wednesday, August 11, 2008 on 8.00 AM. People who attend are: UI President, Prof. Dr. der Soz. Gumilar Rusliwa Somantri, Deputy Rector of Research, Development and Industry Cooperation, Sunardji S.E., M.M, Dean of FMIPA UI, Dr. Adi Basukriadi, M.Sc, along with other FMIPA leaders and Directorate of Alumni Affairs, Arie Setiabudi Soesilo M.Sc. In this event, President Director of PT Pertamina Karen Agustiawan also attend, Company Secretary Momentary of PT Pertamina, Mochamad Harun, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Educational Officer, Susilawati, and other directors and Pertamina employees.


Inauguration of Three UI Professors

Crowd was seen at Universitas Indonesia (UI) Conference Hall, on July 28, Tuesday morning. Three professors from three different science clusters were inaugurated simultaneously. They are: Prof. Dr. Rachmadhi Purwana, SKM, from health sciences cluster (Faculty of Public Health), Prof. Dr. Ir. Bondan Tiara Sofyan, M. Si from science and technology cluster (Faculty of Engineering) and Prof. Zainuddin Djafar, Ph.D., from social and humanities cluster (Faculty of Social and Political Sciences). Prof. Dr. Rachmadi Purwana, SKM brought inaugural speech titled “Masalah Kesehatan Lingkungan di Indonesia” (Environmental Health Issues in Indonesia). This recipient of Satya art Satyalencana award for 20 years in year 1997, said that environmental health sciences are part of public health sciences which was introduced in 19th century.
