Conference of APSA: Call for Papers

The Department of Sociology - University of Indonesia and the Asia Pacific Sociological Association (APSA) will hold the 9th Conference of APSA on June 13-15, 2009 in Kuta, Bali , Indonesia. The theme of the conference is “Improving the Quality of Social Life in Asia Pacific: A Challenge for Sociology”

The conference addresses the folIowing themes:
Theories, Methodology and Social Issues:

  • Social inclusion and exclusion
  • Corruption, good governance
  • Socio-cultural transformation
  • Globalization, nationalism and local wisdom
  • The information (network) society
  • Environmental issues Trans-nationalism and migration
  • Ethnicity and identity
  • Religion and democracy
  • Labor and work issues
