In the next five years, Universitas Indonesia (heretofore will be referred to as UI) is expected to play an important role as part of world's best research-led universities. As the flag carrier of the nation, UI is expected to set a high standard in the development of academic culture at local, national, and international levels. In addition, UI is also holding a role as trend-setter in developing science and knowledge through Tridarma (three basic principles of Indonesian higher education). More importantly, this university is also an effective energizer in the development of the nation's civilization.
