Overview

The largest campus of Universitas Indonesia is located in the city of Depok, in the outskirts of South Jakarta, and there is another campus in 4 Salemba Raya, Jakarta. In addition to that UI has another campus at Pegangsaan Timur, Jakarta, across Jakarta's Cikini railway station.

On entering the Universitas Indonesia's area you will find yourself in a greenery of rainforest area of with a tranquil but stimulating environment to learn and to grow.


Depok Campus
Depok lies on the southern part of Jakarta. Many faculties are located in this campus area.

By car: the trip will take about one hour from Jakarta city centre along regular road or about 30 minutes along the inner city toll road, exiting at Lenteng Agung Barat. From the Jakarta International Airport the trip takes about one and a half to two hours via toll road. Traveling by taxi from the airport will cost around Rp 200,000. Please provide the taxi driver with money for toll fees around Rp 20,000. After exiting each toll gate, the driver will give you change should there are any.

By train: to get to Depok campus by train, take a commuter train from any station in the Central Line. Airconditioned expresses, airconditioned all-stops and regular all-stops trains serve the line from the early morning until the late evening. Hop off at UI or Pondok Cina station. Every point in the campus is accessible by the free yellow campus bus. Wait at the bus stop if you intend to take the bus or take an "ojek" (motorcycle taxi) if you are in a hurry. The minimum fare of an ojek ride is Rp 5,000.

Salemba campus
The campus is located in Jalan Salemba 4, Central Jakarta. It is located next to the capital's oldest hospital Cipto Mangunkusumo, which currently also functions as UI teaching hospital.

By car: From Jakarta International Airport, the trip normally takes one hour along the tollroad.

By train: Take any of regular (Jabotabek) trains to Cikini station. The campus is within walking distance, and it is also possible to take the 502 bus (Rp 2,000 fare), hopping off at the Salemba intersection (you should alert the conductor) or simply take a bajaj/ojek for Rp 5,000.
