Foreign Doctoral Program

DOCUMENTS

1. Non-Indonesian passport.
2. Recent color photograph (full face without hat, glasses, or accessories)
3. Master’s degree certificate
4. Master’s degree transcript
5. Indonesian language proficiency certificate of one of the following tests:
   • TIBA with a minimum score of 4
   • UKBI with a minimum score of 482
   • TIBA/UKBI certificate is a mandatory document, except for those who have received a degree from an institution where Indonesian is the primary language of instruction.
6. BIPA course certificate from Lembaga Bahasa Internasional Fakultas Ilmu Pengetahuan Budaya Universitas Indonesia (LBI FIB UI) with a minimum level of 3. You can use this certificate if you do not have an Indonesian language proficiency certificate, or you have not received a degree from an institution where Indonesian is the primary language of instruction
7. English language proficiency certificate for some study programs*
8. Statement of Purpose
9. Recommendation Letter*
10. Health certificate.
11. Applicants to the Faculty of Economics and Business are required to submit a standardized entrance exam score (e.g., GRE or GMAT).

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

Faculty of Medicine:

Nutrition

1. Master’s degree in nutrition or health related sciences with high academic GPA (≥ 3.0 out of 4.0), PBT/ITP TOEFL with a minimum score of 550 or iBT TOEFL with a minimum score of 80 or IELTS with a minimum score of 6.5
2. Pre-research proposal on a nutrition topic.
3. Two reference letters from a former thesis supervisor and an academic advisor or lecturer or head of department.
4. A financial guarantee letter or a scholarship statement.

Biomedical

1. Citizen or permanent resident of a South-East Asian country.
2. Master’s degree in biomedical sciences or life sciences
3. PBT/ITP TOEFL min. 550 or iBT TOEFL min.80 or IELTS min. 6.5
4. Graduated from a Master’s degree program not more than 6 years prior to the time of application.
5. Pre-doctoral research proposal (No more than 5 pages consisting of background, research question(s), hypothesis, conceptual framework, theoretical framework, methodology, timeline and references)
