Known as the Architect Warrior of the Archipelago (Pendekar Arsitektur Nusantara), Yori Antar has accomplished in reviving and enhancing public appreciation towards local architecture and preserving Wae Rebo while also empowering the community through his architectural formula. Thanks to Yori Antar’s hard work, Wae Rebo received the main award of the Award of Excellence from the UNESCO-Asia Pacific Awards for Cultural Heritage Conservation in Bangkok on 27 August 2012, triumphing over 42 other cultural heritages. Additionally, he is the figure behind the changing face of the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Complex who strengthened the cultural feel of the Complex. Currently, he is the architect of the revitalization project of Lake Toba, an originally national strategic area turning into an international standard area.
