Programme Overview
In the Archaeology Study Programme, students will get courses such as Prehistorical Indonesia, Archaeology Research Methodology (including techniques of excavating archeological sites), epigraphy and inscription interpretation, prehistory, museology, and other supporting subjects. An Archaeology Laboratory and a Simulation of Prehistoric Sites are also provided on campus. Graduates of Archaeology usually work in central or regional government institutions responsible for the field of history and archaeology, museums, tourism, and mass media.
The study programme only accepts students through the Regular Undergraduate programme. 50% of the students enter through special invitation or the SNMPTN, and the other 50% are from SBMPTN and SIMAK-UI.

Tuition Fees
The tuition fee for the Regular Undergraduate Programme is determined in accordance with the ability of the student to pay. This payment scheme, known as the Equitable Academic Operational Fee (Biaya Operasional Pendidikan Berkeadilan /BOP-B), ranges between IDR 100,000 – IDR 5,000,000. Since 2013, Regular Undergraduate students are no longer required to pay a development fee, as it is subsidized by the government through the State University Operational Support (Bantuan Operasional Perguruan Tinggi Negeri / BOPTN). UI uses a Single Tuition Fee (Uang Kuliah Tunggal/UKT) payment system in which students pay for all the educational units determined by the study programme and they no longer pay according to the number of credit units they take every semester.
