The Undergraduate Biology Study Programme at Universitas Indonesia is supported by seven Laboratories (Field of Study Groups), namely: the Taxonomy Lab (Plants, Animals, and Molecular), Physiology Lab. (Plants, Animals, and Tissue Culture), Ecology Lab, Genetics Lab., Microbiology Lab, the Development and Reproductive Biology Lab, and Marine Biology Lab. Students are allowed to choose courses offered by those Laboratories according to their interests that they can later focus on in the selection of their research topics (for the undergraduate thesis). Students graduate from the undergraduate level Biology Study Programme, after completing a minimum of 144 credit units consisting of 117 compulsory courses credit units, 21 optional courses credit units and 6 research credit units.
