Programme Overview
The Department of Mathematics’ vision is to make mathematics an important tool in supporting other disciplines in the development of technology. The Bachelor’s programme at the Department of Mathematics offers students courses that cover the field of Pure Mathematics, Statistics, Computing, Operational Research and Actuarial Mathematics. Most of the alumni from the Department of Mathematics work in the fields of insurance and information technology. Other areas that require graduates from the department of Mathematics are the manufacturing industry, education, research, banking, advertising, publishing, and others.

This programme is available for both the Regular and Parallel Undergraduate Programmes. Admission for the Regular Programme is through SNMPTN, SBMPTN, and SIMAK-UI. Meanwhile admission for the Parallel Programme is through SIMAK-UI and PPKB.

Tuition Fees
The tuition fee for the Regular Undergraduate Programme, which is paid according to the financial ability of the student known as the BOP-B system (Equitable Academic Operational Fee), ranges between IDR 100,000 – 7,500,000. Students of the Regular Class programme are no longer required to pay admission fee, effective since 2013, due to subsidies provided by the government through BOPTN (Operational Assistance for State Universities).

UI applies UKT (Integrated Academic Fee) as its payment system where students pay an integrated academic fee for each study programme and no longer pay according to the number of credit units they take every semester.. The tuition fee is fixed for the Parallel Undergraduate Programme, where UKT applies too. The tuition fee is IDR 8,000,000 per semester and an admission fee of IDR 15,000,000.
