FISIP Dance Community (KTF) UI Radha Sarisha lifted up Indonesia's pride on
international event. After previously participated in Cultural Mission to Europe, KTF UI got
another achievement on “Andong International Mask Dance Festival” Competition that was
held on September 29 th to October 9 th 2016 in South Korea that was participated by 14
countries.
In this event, KTF UI presented 11 traditional dances, that were Selayang Pandang dance
from Melayu, Kartina dance from Betawi, Kehamuk dance from Betawi, Coga dance from
Minang, Dzahab Najwan dance from Melayu, Tor-tor Sigale-gale dance from Batak,
Enggang Le’to dance from Kalimantan, Mambri dance from Papua, Kembeng Melate
dance from Madura, Zapin Kasmaran dance from Melayu and Topeng Nindak dance from
Betawi.
The 17 delegations successfully got 1 Participant Price (Top 7) for Kembeng Melate
dance, 2 Silver Price for Zapin Kasmaran dance on Foreign Group Competition category
and Topeng Nindak dance on Foreign Individual Competition category, surpassed the
other 5 competitor from Malaysia, Philippines, Turkey, Bulgaria and Latvia.
Dances that had been presented was created by Jamillah Siregar as choreographer and
Imam Firmansyah as music arranger.
KTF UI delegations did not only presented dances, but also visited Lion Group and tourist
attraction in Andong City such as Buyongdae Cliff, Hahoe Village, and Hahoe Mask
Museum.
