Chemistry

The Master’s Programme in Chemistry has 3 specialisations as follows:

  • Biological Chemistry which encompasses expertise in the following areas: Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Natural Materials Chemistry.
  • Non Biological Chemistry which encompasses expertise in the following areas: Physical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, and Analytical Chemistry.
  • Industrial Biotechnology Chemistry which encompasses expertise in Biochemistry.

The programme aims to:

  • Produce chemists with special expertise, following international demands.
  • Produce chemists who can keep up with the latest developments in Chemistry
  • Become a centre of excellence for chemistry which plays an active role in providing better services to the public.

Admissions
The entrance to the Master’s Programme in Chemistry is through the SIMAK written entrance exam.

Tuition Fees
To join the Master’s Programme in Chemistry, students are required to pay a tuition fee (BOP) of Rp 8,000,000 per semester for the regular class with a specialisation in either Biochemistry, Biotechnology or Inorganic Chemistry. In addition, students are charged a one-time Development Fee (DP) of Rp 7,000,000 at the time of enrolment.
