Herbal Medicine

The Master’s Programme in Herbal Medicine with concentrations in Herbal Medicine and Herbs in Nursing and Aesthetics, is designed to tackle main challenges such as:

  • optimising utilisation of Indonesian herbal plants and process them into herbal medicines as a rational supplementary or alternative medication that have been proven in terms of effectiveness, quality and safety, making them suitable to use alongside conventional medicine in the formal health or medication system.
  • integrating herbal medication and utilisation in the already existing healthcare system, which also serves as an aesthetical component for the already existing health policy in Indonesia.
  • setting the benchmark used in determining whether herbal medication or utilisation in the healthcare system or as an aesthetical component, serves an appropriate supplementary or alternative means of medication.
  • setting the success indicators used as a means to display the added value of herbal medication and utilisation in the healthcare system, as an aesthetical component, in the pursuit of providing better healthcare for personal use or for the general public .

The entrance to the Master’s Programme in Herbal Medicine is through the SIMAK written entrance exam.

Tuition Fees
To join the Master’s Programme in Herbal Medicine students are required to pay a tuition fee (BOP) of Rp 12,500,000 per semester, in addition to a one-time Development Fee (DP) of Rp 5,000,000 charged at the time of enrolment.
