Marine Studies

In order to improve strengths and competitiveness in Marine Studies, the Master’s Programme in Maritime Studies of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA-UI) aims to equip students with comprehensive knowledge and scientific skills. The graduates of the programmes are expected to have the following :

  • Extensive knowledge in maritime sciences and are adept in conducting research so as to contribute to the development of knowledge.
  • Ability to objectively respond to and formulate solutions to various challenges in maritime issues.
  • Basic academic tools and skills to continue to a higher level of education.

The programme offers 2 specialisations as follows:

  • Marine Physics
  • Marine Biology

The entrance to the Master’s Programme in Maritime Studies is through the SIMAK written entrance exam.

Tuition Fees
To join the Master’s Programme in Maritime Studies students are required to pay a tuition fee (BOP) per semester of Rp 8,000,000 for the regular class and Rp 12,500,000 for the special class. In addition, they are charged a one-time Development Fee (DP) of Rp 7,000,000 at the time of enrollment.
