Electrical Engineering (Bachelor Degree)

Course Description

Electrical Engineering Department of Universitas Indonesia were established on November 27th 1964 along with the establishment of Faculty of Engineering Universitas Indonesia. However, the lecturers activity had started since October 17th 1964. In the begining, the Electrical Engineering Department named “Electrical Major” which consisted of two study fields that are Electrical Power and Electrical and Telecommunication. Since 1984, the name is changed into Electrical Engineering and changed again to the Department of Electrical Engineering in 2004. Department of Electrical Engineering has 5 specializations: 1) Electrical Power Engineering, 2) Control Engineering, 3) Computer Engineering, 4) Electrical Engineering and 5) Telecommunication Engineering Computer Engineering specialization established its own study program which is Computer Engineering Study Program.

Department of Electrical Engineering is commited to produce graduates who can analyze engineering problems, propose logical engineering solutions both systemically and practically, supported by correct and appropriate methods. Students are also demanded to have competence to design and develop both software and hardware, and are always improve their knowledge in Electrical Engineering field.

Tuition Fee

Based on the UI Rector Decree No. 406/SK?R/UI/2021

For undergraduate regular program, the fee is paid according to the financial ability of the bearer, BOP-B (Education Operational Cost)

BOP-B (Education Operational Cost) is paid around Rp 100.000 – Rp 7.500.000. For regular undergraduates, as of 2013, there is no entry fee. This is because the entry fee is subsidized by the government through the Operational Assistance of State Universities.

UI uses the Single Tuition Fee payment system where students pay the unit fee for education that has been determined by the study program and is no longer charged per credit.

For non-foreign nationals, Parallel undergraduate education costs are fixed. Tuition fees for Parallel Undergraduate also use a Single Tuition Fee. BOP-B (Education Operational Cost) is paid around Rp 10.000.000,- persemester dan Rp 50.000.000,- for the Development Fund.

For foreign nationals, Parallel undergraduate education costs are fixed. Tuition fees for Parallel Undergraduate also use a Single Tuition Fee. BOP-B (Education Operational Cost) is paid around Rp 30.000.000,- persemester dan Rp 50.000.000,- for Development Fund.
