The Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FIA UI) and the Audit Board Agency (BPK) signed the Cooperation Agreement on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at the Supreme Audit Agency, Jakarta. In the ceremony of the cooperation agreement between the two parties, UI Chancellor Prof. Ari Kuncoro S.E, M.A, Ph.D, said that universities can no longer only concentrate on academic activities and publications. Thus, the concept of higher education as an ivory tower will slowly be abandoned.
“It’s no longer just academic activities, but also requires a reputation through cooperation or collaboration with various institutions,” he said. The Rector of Universitas Indonesia also mentioned the success of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences Universitas Indonesia to be ranked 1 in Indonesia, 5 in ASEAN, and ranked 51-100 in the world.
After that, the event continued with the delivery of remarks from the Head of Audit Board Agency who said that the implementation of this signing was a follow-up to the signing of the MoU which was signed by Audit Board Agency and Universitas Indonesia on August 31, 2000. “This is a step to increase synergy and coordination in implementing the Tridharma of Higher Education, as well as increasing institutional capacity at the Audit Board Agency,” he said. The chairman of the Audit Board Agency once mentioned the cooperation between Audit Board Agency and the Faculty of Computer Science Universitas Indonesia to establish a Big Data system to improve the performance of Audit Board Agency examiners.
“The Audit Board Agency together with Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Indonesia plan to form a Supervision Administration program at Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Indonesia to complement government accounting standards that later there will be academic degrees from Universitas Indonesia as well as professional degrees from Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Indonesi for students. We do all of this for better governance, for a better Indonesia,” he said.
The signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the State Audit Board and the University of Indonesia was carried out by the Dean of Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Indonesia Prof. Dr. Chandra Wijaya, M.Sc., M.M. and Secretary General of the State Audit Board (Sekjen BPK) Bahtiar Arif. Besides being attended by Dr. Agung Firman Sampurna, Prof. Ari Kuncoro, Prof. Dr. Chandra Wijaya, and Bahtiar Arif, on the same occasion were also present, Head of the Main Directorate of Planning, Evaluation and Development of State Financial Audit Bernardus Dwita Pradana S.E., Me-Comm., QIA, CSFA, CPA, Ak., ACPA, CFrA, CKM ., Main Auditor of State Finance VI BPK RI Dori Santosa, Deputy Dean for Resources, Ventures and General Administration FIA UI, Dr. Milla Sepliana Setyowati, Chairperson’s Secretary of Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Indonesia Dr. Umanto, M.Si..
