Deskripsi Program Studi
The main mission espoused by the Department of Chemical Engineering is to carry out excellent-quality education that enables its graduates to obtain knowledge, skills, and experience of performing research in the most recent topics in chemical and biochemical engineering. Graduates are expected to apply the basics of chemical engineering and bioprocessing to fields of work that require chemical processing technology, be capable of self-improvement as planners and managers of industries, and contribute to the development of science and technology.
Graduates of Bioprocessing Engineering can be described as ‘Universal Engineers’ who are acquainted with the basics of engineering and biotechnological engineering. These engineers are capable of managing biological production systems and processes and offer ethical alternative solutions to problems arising in biotechnology.
Graduates of Bioprocessing Engineering have contributed to the following fields: research and development of chemical processes and products, synthesis and processing of nutritional and pharmaceutical products, food industry, cosmetics industry, biotechnology, consultancy in engineering companies, environmental engineering, renewable energy, government, education, etc.
Biaya Pendidikan
Based on the UI Rector Decree No. 406/SK?R/UI/2021
An Equitable Operational Tuition Fee is payable by regular undergraduates, varying in accordance with each respective applicant’s economic capability. The Equitable Operational Tuition Fee varies from Rp 100.000 to Rp 7.500.000. For regular undergraduates, as of 2013, there is no entry fee. This is because the entry fee is subsidized by the government through the Operational Assistance of State Universities.
UI uses the Single Tuition Fee payment system where students pay the unit fee for education that has been determined by the study program and is no longer charged per credit.

For non-foreign nationals, Parallel undergraduate education costs are fixed. The Operational Tuition Fee, payable each semester, amounts to Rp 10.000.000,-, while the Entrance Fee, payable on admission, amounts to Rp 50.000.000,-.
Tuition fees are also fixed for foreign nationals applying for the Parallel Programme. .The Operational Tuition Fee, payable each semester, amounts to Rp 30.000.000,-, while the Entrance Fee, payable on admission, amounts to Rp 50.000.000,-.
