After many years of academic education, the partnership of Universitas Indonesia & University of Queensland has been strengthened. UQ ranking 46th among the top universities in the QS World Ranking is ready to build more significant cooperation. Program of Asia Bound is one of the program providing funding in the form of $2000 or $5000 grants for around 3600 Australian students each year to participate in a study experience in Asia. Students are able to undertake short-term mobility for a variety of experiences including practicums, clinical placements, research trips or volunteer projects for up to 6 months. University of Queensland perceives the program as the thing which is very great to enhance the capacity of Australian students to taste the unforgettable experience in Indonesia.
UQ also expressed their interest towards UI program offered by International Office, Short Course on Indonesia Today. high demanding of Indonesian culture is the main reason why they will possibly choose the program. to celebrate the partnership with partner institutions in Indonesia, they also promote UQIPA Award, UQ Indonesia Partnership Award. the award is eligible for a staff member or currently enrolled ina PhD at UQ or at one of UQ’s Indonesian partner institutions.
Faculty of Engineering UI highlights faculty members exchange between UQ and UI. the exchange aims to enhance the lecture’s skill and ability to be expertise in their field and can support international learning and teaching. it is expected the faculty members then can propose joint research together with UQ.
the opening of twin master in the psychology program is also encouraged and there will be feasibility study before UI and UQ can move further to joint master program. internship and summer program to UQ is also one of the program to enhance the academic cooperation between UI and UQ.
