Entrepreneurship Lecture by Chairul Tanjung
Universitas Indonesia (UI)’s Conference Hall, on Monday, June 14, in the morning was filled with green shirts students. That day was 2010 UI Young and Smart Entrepreneur Program (YSEP) opening day which began at 10:00 AM. This event organized by the Directorate of Partnership and Business Incubator (DKIB) presents several speakers in the entrepreneurship expert, one of them are Group owners Chairul Tanjung. This event was attended by: Vice Rector for Research, Development, and Industrial Cooperation, Sunardji, SE, MM which represent UI rector, Dean of Faculty of Dentistry (FKG), Prof. drg. Bambang. Irawan, Ph.D., DKIB Director, drh.Wiku Adisasmita M. Sc, Ph.D, President Director of Trans TV, Ishadi SK and participant students in 2010 YSEP program.
Malaysian Nurses Association visit FKG UI
Lawatan Persatuan Perawat Gigi Malaysia (Malaysian Dental Nurses Association) held a visit to Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Indonesia (FKG UI) on Thursday, June 17, 2010. The visit purpose is to see dental nurse operational standards at Tooth and Oral Hospital (RSGM) FKG UI in Salemba, Jakarta Campus. The tour group was greeted by FKG UI Dean Prof. Bambang Irawan, drg, PhD. And also attend by: RSGM UI Director drg. Hari Suharto Sp. Perio, drg. Nathalina Sp. Perio, and drg. Chaidar Sp. Prost (K). Head of group and also Malaysian President of Dental Association is Noraini Jacob.

The Conference
Asia has emerged as a pivotal region for global transformation in the spatial organization of political, socio-economic relations and transactions, articulated in intra -or inter- country flows and networks of activity, interaction and power. The conference to be held at the Universitas Indonesia (UI) will provide a valuable opportunity to encourage ‘Asian Knowledge’ and share ‘Asian experience’ on the above fields. To be specific, it has three objectives, viz., (i) To foster exchange of ideas and academic experience in the multi disciplinary fields of Indonesian and Asian studies, (ii) To establish research collaboration between KAAS and UI through academic and cultural exchange, and (iii) To promote interaction among researchers/policy makers of Asian Countries. For the purpose, it will explore some key issues revolving around the aspects of domestic politics, inter-state relationship, historical and social transformation, development with housing, and disaster management in Asia.

Premarital Seminar
Student Association of Reproductive Health (Himakespro) cooperate with Student Executive Board, Universitas Indonesia Faculty of Public Health (FKM BEM UI) held Premarital Seminar themed: “cintai dirimu, pasangan mu dan masa depanmu” ("love yourself, your spouse and your future") on Wednesday, June 9, in Hall A FKM UI Depok Campus. The seminar was held to commemorate Family Welfare Day dated June 22 in the form of interactive seminars filled by competent speaker in general check-up (medical examination)field before marriage and nutrition as an important aspect of reproductive health.
MWA Accommodate Students’ Complain
Board of Trustees Universitas Indonesia (MWA UI) held Twice Monthly Forum themed: “Sampaikan Curhatmu di Sini: Penyelenggaraan UI dalam Perspektif Mahasiswa” (Express Your Complain Here: UI Implementation in Student Perspective). The event took place in the FE UI Hall Student Center, Thursday, June 10, with speakers: Dr. Muhammad Hikam (MWA UI), Dr.Kamaruddin (UI Student dir.), Dadan Erwandi, S. Psi., M. Psi. (Head Unit CSR), and moderator is Bhakti Nugrho Eko (MWA Member of Student Element).
Science Faculty Campus Exhibition
In order to socialize Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science (FMIPA) to be known by high school students as one of the best faculties owned by Universitas Indonesia (UI), then on Saturday, June 12, UI held “Bedah Kampus FMIPA” (Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science's Campus Exhibition). The event which held for two days (start at 10:00 pm in the Science Faculty), was opened by FMIPA vice Dean Drs. Supriatna, MT, representing FMIPA Dean. The serial activities include: giving information at FMIPA, safari department, talk show with FMIPA’s alumni, presentation at each department, department performance, and bazaar.
UI Welcome U.S. Ambassador Visit
Universitas Indonesia (UI) on Wednesday, June 9, welcomed a visit from United States (U.S.) Ambassador to Indonesia Cameron R. Hume. He was welcomed by UI Rector Prof. Dr. der. Soz Gumilar Rusliwa Somantri, in his study. Head of International Office, Raphaella Dewantari Dwianto MA, Ph.D., also accompanied the U.S. Ambassador.
A Visit from Japan Business Model Academy
Universitas Indonesia (UI) received a visit from country of origin sakura flower, Prof. Katsumori Matshusima, University of Tokyo professor and also Rector of Japan Business Model Academy. Prof. Katsumori arrived on Friday, June 4, 2010 in UI at 3.30 pm, accompanied by Prof. Masatoshi Mori, Vice Rector of University of Chiba and other delegates from several Japanese companies. Located in A meeting room, second floor, University Administration Center (PAU), they were graciously accepted by Vice Chancellor for Administrative HR, Finance and Public Administration Dr.Tafsir Nurchamid, Head of International Office, Raphaella Dewantari Dwianto MA, Ph.D., Director of Education, Prof. Dr. Multamia Retno Mayekti Tawangsih Lauder S.S., M.Se., DEA and sub directorate Research and Industry Incubator, Bagus Aryo, S. Sos, MSocWk, PhD. The main objective of Japan Business Model Academy (JBMA) visit to UI is for cooperation. This was explained by Raphaella Dewantari Dwianto MA, Ph.D., who was met after the event. This women who is known as Riri, lead the discussions and become an interpreter, despite she had been living and studying there.
Bank Mandiri Scholarships for 10 UI Students
Located in A meeting room, second floor, UI Center of Administration (PAU) building, Universitas Indonesia (UI) signed cooperation with Bank Mandiri to provide scholarship valued Rp 940,000,000.00 to ten outstanding UI students. The event which took place at 10.00 am on Wednesday, June 9, was attended by Managing Director (CEO) of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk, Pahala N. Mansury, Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Ir. Anis Muhammad, Vice Rector for Research, Development, and Industrial Cooperation, Sunardji, SE, MM, Director of Student Affairs, Dr. Kamarudin, Msi, Chairman of Yayasan Bakti University Alumni Association Universitas Indonesia (ILUNI), Bakhtiar Rakhman, and UI Alumni Relations Director, Drs. Anggraeni's Doctoral Promotion
Faculty of Dentistry Universitas Indonesia (FKG UI) inaugurated a new doctor, Anggraeni (33), a teaching staff from Dental Conservation Science Department, FKG UI with yudisium cum laude after a public hearing in front of examiner team on Wednesday, June 9, at Campus Salemba, Jakarta. Doctor Anggraeni is the 48th doctor in FKG UI. The dissertation titled: “Prospek Gel Imunoglobulin-Y Anti Streptococcus Mutans Sebagai Bahan Imunisasi Pasif Anti Karies : Analisis Sifat Biologis Gel Imunoglobulin –Y anti Streptococcus Mutans dan Pengaruhnya Terhadap Proses Karies pada Tikus Sprague Dawey” (Prospects of immunoglobulin-Y Gel anti-Streptococcus Mutant as an Anti Caries Passive Immune Material: Analysis of Biological Gel immunoglobulin-Y anti-Streptococcus Mutant and Effects on Caries Process in Sprague Dawey Rats).Promoter is Dr. Rachael Meidyawati, drg.SpKG (K) and Co-promoters Endang W Bachtiar, drg. MBiomed. PhD. The chief examiner is Prof. Dr. Safrida Hoesain, drg.SpKG (K) and team consists of: Prof.Trimurti Abidin, drg. SpKG (K), Prof. Dr.Retno Soejoedono, drh.MS. Dr. Erni H Purwaningsih, dr.
