In this era of globalization students as young intellectual agents are expected to have international insight. Universitas Indonesia as an academic institution that actively participates in international educational development activities, intends to hold Short Course for foreign students.
On this occasion, Short Course is conducted as a process of introducing the language, history, and current issues of social, culture, politics, law and economy in Indonesia to the undergraduate students from Sydney TAFE. This introduction is done so that the students can have an understanding of Indonesia in the scope of globalization and have concrete experience in the current scope of Indonesia-Australia relations. Activities are also conducted in the form of site visits or visits to relevant institutions. In this lesson, it is hoped that this Sydney TAFE student can easily understand about the material presented by the teacher.
Short Course Activities:
During the program at UI from May 1 to 11, 2017, students will attend some lectures on contemporary Indonesian issues consisting of:
1. Introduction to Indonesian Archipelago
2. History of Indonesia
3. Introduction to Indonesian Culture, Society & Multiculturalism
4. Today’s Economy & Social Development in Indonesia
5. Media & Political Communication in Indonesia
6. Management & Corporate Culture in Indonesia
7. Indonesian Foreign Policy & International Relations
8. Indonesian (BIPA) – 4 sessions

3. Traditional Dance Workshop
4. Site Visit to Austrade
5. Site visit to Ministry of Foreign Affairs
