Call for Papers – Open 1 June 2015

We are proud to announce that the 2nd Asian Conference on Safety and Education in Laboratory (ACSEL) will be held in Universitas Indonesia on 1 – 2 December 2015.

The main theme is:

“Building a Laboratory Safety & Health Competency & Culture”

Abstract

The following is a list of Symposium Topics for the 2nd Asian Conference on Safety and Education in Laboratory. Abstracts for oral and poster presentations can be submitted for both sessions. Posters will be on display throughout the conference. Please submit an abstract for the session that you think best fits one of the following:

1. Safety education for students / international students
– Sharing good practices for safety management
– Safety culture in the workplace/ laboratory
– Top management commitment
– Energy savings
– Developing a minimum safety education program in Asian countries

2. Laboratory health & safety
   – Bio-risk management
   – Chemical health & safety
   – Accident investigation/prevention
   – Emergency management & business continuity
   – Occupational health & occupational medicine
   – Integrated/total workplace safety & health management

   To Present a Technical Paper
   A 300 words abstract (due by 30 September 2015) is to be submitted by those who wish to make a presentation in the conference. Based on these submissions we will make a decision as whether or not to accept your contribution and arrange the conference sessions.
   Submit your abstract by sending it to drrc@ui.ac.id using the abstract template (attached).

   Proceedings
   Presenters can also submit a full manuscript (date will be presented soon) for publication in a special issue of the Journal of Environment and Safety. The full manuscript should be submitted through online submission webpage. The submitted manuscript will be published after undergoing a standard reviewing process. Information regarding the manuscript submission will be provided soon.
