Six UI Academics Enter the Leadership of the Indonesian Health Council and Collegium 2024—2028

Six academic community members of Universitas Indonesia (UI) were officially inaugurated as leaders and members of the Indonesian Health Council, Health College, and Professional Discipline Council for the 2024-2028 period. The inauguration was carried out by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia (RI), Ir. Budi Gunadi Sadikin, CHFC., CLU., on Monday (14/10) at the Siwabessy Hall, Sujudi Building, Ministry of Health, Jakarta.

Those inaugurated from UI are dr. Agustin Kusumayati, M.Sc., Ph.D., who is currently the University Secretary of UI, as a Member of the Indonesian Health Council, drg. Nurtami, Sp.OF(K)., Ph.D. (Vice Rector for Research and Innovation UI) as Chair of the Forensic Odontology College, Dr. drg. Nia Ayu Ismaniati., MDSc., Sp.Ort(K)., Subsp. D.D.T.K (K) who serves as Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry UI, as Chair of the Orthodontic College, Dr. dr. Dhanasari Vidiawati, MSc.Cm-FM., Sp.KKLP., SubSp.COPC. (Head of the UI Makara Satellite Clinic), as Chair of the Primary Care Family Medicine College, Prof. Dr. drg. Ratna Sari Dewi, Sp.Pros, Subsp.PKIKG(K) as Chair of the Prosthodontics College, and Dr. drg. Ike Dwi Maharti, Sp.KG., Subsp.KE(K) as Chair of the Dental Conservation College.

In his remarks, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin emphasized the importance of the role of these three institutions in maintaining the quality and competence of human resources (HR) in the health sector. “Therefore, I invite and look forward to the contribution of these three official institutions in creating quality and equitable health human resources, so that health services provided to the community can be maximized,” said Budi.

He also emphasized the importance of collaboration between institutions in providing quality, accessible, and affordable health services for the entire community. “The three must work together to provide easily accessible, good quality, and affordable health services for the entire Indonesian community,” he said again.

This inauguration refers to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia No. 69/M/2024 concerning the dismissal and appointment of members of the Indonesian Medical Council and the Decree of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia No. HK0107/Menkes/1631/2024 concerning the determination of members of the council of various medical personnel. The Indonesian Health Workforce Council (KTKI) plays an important role in regulating and supervising health workers in Indonesia. KTKI aims to improve the quality of health services through various initiatives, including certification, registration, and professional discipline of health workers.
