Article 1: GENERAL PROVISIONS

The Board of Professors (DGB) is an element of the University of Indonesia whose function is to foster academic life and moral and ethical integrity within the University of Indonesia academic community (Article 1, PP 152/2000)

Article 2: MEMBERSHIP

DGB is a university organ whose members are all Professors of the University of Indonesia (Article 22, paragraph 1, PP 152/2000)

Article 3: DUTIES & AUTHORITIES

1. DGB conducts the development of academic life and fosters moral integrity and university academic ethics (Article 22, paragraph 2, PP 152/2000)
2. DGB considers the proposal for the appointment of Professors, Honorary Doctors, or other honors to the Academic Senate and or university leaders (Article 22, paragraph 3, PP 152/2000)

Article 4: LEADERS

The DGB is led by a chairman and assisted by a secretary, both of whom are elected by the DGB members for a 5 (five) year term of office and can be re-elected provided that the time of office does not exceed two times (Article 22, paragraph 4, PP 152/2000)

Article 5: COMMISSION

1. In carrying out its duties, the DGB may establish commissions whose duties, work procedures, and composition of members are determined by the DGB (Article 22, paragraph 5, PP 152/2000)
2. DGB consists of 2 commissions:
   • Commission A: to consider the proposal for the appointment of Professors.
   • Commission B: to consider the proposal for an Honorary Doctorate or other honorary award and to consider research and development of science and technology, including research ethics.
3. Every Professor is a member of one of the commissions

Article 6: WORKING AGENCY

The Working Body carries out the DGB’s daily tasks.
