RSUI Ranked 62nd Best Teaching Hospital in the World

Universitas Indonesia Hospital (RSUI) has successfully achieved a brilliant achievement by achieving 62nd place in the list of the 250 best teaching hospitals in the world, based on the ranking released by Brand Finance in 2025.

Brand Finance is an international event in determining the reputation of a hospital which is assessed in several categories, namely patient care, medical research, education, and training as well as awareness and familiarity, which reflects the overall service. The assessment is carried out using a methodology that includes interviews with doctors, surgeons, and other healthcare providers. Interviews were conducted in 47 countries on all continents, involving 50 AMCs and 2500 professional health workers.

The Brand Strength Index (BSI) in the ranking process includes 3 main pillars, namely Investment (25%), Equity (50%), and Performance (25%), from the results of all assessment components, RSUI is considered superior in the assessment which includes patient care, medical research, education, training, as well as awareness and familiarity. Therefore, the ranking of RSUI in 2025 has increased significantly, after previously being in the 153rd position in 2023 and 2024.

RSUI is the main teaching hospital of the UI Faculty of Medicine which functions as a center for clinical research education integrated with the UI AHS (Academic Health System), namely the integration of education, research, and health services in an integrated manner, with the aim of increasing resource capacity and supporting the Tridharma of Higher Education.

RSUI supports comprehensive interprofessional education for various health workers, such as doctors, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, and other health workers as well as complete health services.

“The soaring ranking of RSUI to 62nd position out of 250 best hospitals in the world is a very proud achievement, this means that RSUI’s existence is taken into account at the global level so that it is included in the assessment radar together with top world teaching hospitals such as John Hopkins Hospital, Oxford University Hospitals, and Mayo Clinic Health System. We hope that RSUI can continue to transform and produce impactful innovations so that its function as a teaching hospital and health service can continue to be refined and improved. Congratulations to RSUI,” said the Rector of UI, Prof. Dr. Ir. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU. Meanwhile, the President Director of RSUI, dr. Ari Kusuma Januarto, Sp.OG., Subsp.Obginsos said that this achievement reflects the dedication of the entire RSUI team and the support of UI leaders and stakeholders in providing the best service and continuous innovation in the health sector. RSUI will continue to be committed to developing human resources in the fields of health, research, and medical innovation. The target by 2030, RSUI will become a world-class teaching hospital, in line with efforts to improve the quality of services and hospital transformation.
