Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Universitas Indonesia (FISIP UI) received grant in the form of 35 touch screen computers and 20 laptops from China.
The handover ceremony was held on Tuesday, August 8 th 2016 at the first floor of Miriam Budiarjo Resource Center (MBRC), FISIP UI, Depok.
The ceremony event was attended by Dr. Arie Setiabudi Soesilo, M.Sc. (Dean of FISIP UI), Wang Liping (Minister Counselor of Chinese Embassy in Indonesia), and several manager as well.
30 of 35 touch screen computers are placed in student corner area of MBRC FISIP UI. FISIP students and public are allowed to use those computers to access internet and do information searching.
“By placing these computers in MBRC, we hope that it will bring lots of advantage for FISIP students in particular, and for public in general as well,” said Winarto, MBRC Coordinator.
The rest of computers and laptops will be handed over to faculty in order to manage its usage and function in the future. Most likely, those laptops will be used for faculty staffing bureaucracy.
The laptop and computer grants was a follow up of Indonesia and China agreement on Deputy Prime Minister of China visit, Y. M. Madam Liu Yandong on last May 2015 at FISIP UI.
