The series of online activities of Universitas Indonesia Career, Internship, Scholarship and Entrepreneurship Hybrid Expo or UI CISE Hybrid Expo organized by UI together with KarirLab is still ongoing until October 31, 2024. Participants can access the website uicise.karirlab.co to get information on job vacancies from companies and scholarship information from universities or institutions participating in this activity.
Previously, on September 27-28, the UI CISE Hybrid Expo 2024 presented various webinars, talk shows, and company booth exhibitions at the UI Balairung Depok Campus. The activity received enthusiasm from participants from various groups, namely students, alumni, and the general public. Participants can also continue learning through follow-up webinars on topics of interest, such as company insights, scholarship guidance, and entrepreneurship until October 4, 2024.
Head of the UI Career Development Center, Prof. drg. Sandra Fikawati, MPH, said that in March 2024, UI had held the same activity with a total of 610,000 website visits and 1,700,000 social media impressions. The activity was attended by 40,000 online participants and 1,800 offline participants with webinar or event participants reaching 6,500 people. This activity involved 161 partners who provided 477 job vacancies and attracted 25,000 job applicants.
Prof. Fika hopes that this hybrid expo can attract more participants from various circles. “This edition of the UI CISE Hybrid Expo involves 2 sponsors, 33 national and multinational company partners, and 8 institutions or universities providing scholarships from within and outside the country. In addition, we also collaborate with 43 entrepreneurship partners, 28 media partners, and 20 university partners. We hope that this hybrid expo can facilitate more participants from all over Indonesia, so that the benefits generated will be wider,” said Prof. Fika.
In the UI CISE 2024 series, webinar events are presented in the form of Company Talk, Scholarship Talk, and Entrepreneurship Talk. The three activities are filled by representatives from leading companies, representatives of educational institutions, and young entrepreneurs. They share company profiles and available career opportunities, scholarship information to expand career and education opportunities, and experiences in building a business. With this activity, it is hoped that students, alumni, and the general public can obtain information about job vacancies, as well as strategies for entrepreneurship or continuing their studies at the best universities.
Not only that, the company booth exhibition provided at the event also facilitates participants to interact directly with many well-known companies in various fields. Participants can ask questions and discuss the company, how to apply for job vacancies at the company, submit resumes, and take part in walk-in interviews. In addition to the company booth, a resume builder is also provided for participants who want to create a resume according to the company’s needs accompanied by Human Resources (HR) professionals from KarirLab.
