Three FTUI Lecturers Enter the Top 2% List of Most Influential Scientists in the World

Stanford University and Elsevier BV have released their list of the world’s Most Influential Scientists. ​​The ranking entitled Top 2% World Ranking Scientists is an activity that is carried out annually.

On 20 October 2021, Stanford University and Elsevier BV again released the Top 2% World Ranking of Scientists for 2021. A total of 58 Indonesian scientists from various research institutions and universities are included in the list of the World’s Top 2% Scientists 2021 from ASEAN Countries. The selection of 58 scientists is based on the most cited names in scientific journals in the world. These names are in the top 100,000 based on c-scores (with and without self-citation) or a percentile ranking of 2 percent or more (source: http://doi.org/10.17632/btchxktzyw.3). Seven of the 58 scientists included in the World’s Top 2% Scientists 2021 from ASEAN Countries are lecturers from Universitas Indonesia. They are (in order of rank):

  1. Dr.-Ing. Nandy Putra (Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering)
  2. Mohammed Ali Berawi, M.Eng.Sc., Ph.D. (Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering)
  3. Dr. dr. Sri Rezeki Hadinegoro (Faculty of Medicine)
  4. Dr. rer. nat. Rosari Saleh (Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences)
  5. dr. Jeanne Adiwinata Pawitan, MS., Ph.D (Faculty of Medicine)
  6. Ir. Irwan Katili, DEA (Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering)
  7. Dipo Aldila S. Si., M.Si (Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences)

The inclusion of lecturers from the Faculty of Engineering (FTUI), Universitas Indonesia as the Most Influential Scientists in the World is an honor and pride for FTUI, UI, and Indonesia. This shows the usefulness of research produced by the FTUI academic community. In addition, this award is a reminder and encouragement for the FTUI academic community to continue to develop research that has impacts and changes on the national and international levels.
