Universitas Indonesia (UI) won an award for public relations performance in the Press Release (Online Media) category in the ministries/institutions, BUMN (State-owned enterprises), BUMD (Regional owned enterprises), and State Universities groups at the 2022 Public Relations Media Award (AMH) event organized by the Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Information. The holding of the AMH 2022 evening brings the theme “The Spirit of Public Relations for Indonesia to Recover Faster and Rise Stronger”, is a form of giving appreciation for the success of public communication and support for public relations of ministries and institutions, regional governments, as well as BUMN and universities in the successful implementation of the G20 Indonesia Presidency.
“Congratulations to the nominees and award winners. We first applaud all the winners who have produced their best works,” said the Minister of Communication and Informatics (Menkominfo) Johnny G. Plate expressing his appreciation to all the winners. This award, continued Johnny, is a form of appreciation for the hard work of the government’s public relations, primarily related to public communication for the 2022 Indonesian G20 Presidency event as well as in the context of improving the quality of government public communication. “In the future, let’s continue to increase the capability and utilization of technology and new media (new media) to answer the challenges of public relations in the digital era in order to realize a connected, more digital, more advanced Indonesia,” said the Minister of Communication and Information.
This year, at AMH 2022, six categories of public relations media will be contested, namely press releases (online media), social media, internal media publishing (in-house magazine), public communication campaigns, websites, and audio-visual media. Then the winners of each category were divided into three classifications namely, first Ministries/Institutions, BUMN, BUMD, and PTN (State Universities); second, the provincial government (pemprov); and third, district/city governments. In addition, the Ministry of Communication and Informatics also gave appreciation to two public information educators in the special category of Best Public Information Extension.
“Congratulations and thank you to the committee for holding this extraordinary event, and also to all UI residents who have given their support and trust as a form of appreciation for the work of the Public Relations Bureau and KIP. Hopefully this activity will spur all of us to continue to innovate and collaborate in providing the best service for UI residents, prospective students, the community, and UI partners,” said Head of the UI Public Relations and Public Information Disclosure Bureau, Amelita Lusia.
At the event, UI magazine was also nominated for the category of internal media publishing (inhouse magazine) alongside the best magazines from Ministries/Institutions, BUMN, BUMD, and other PTNs. Also present at the event which was held in Sleman, Special Region of Yogyakarta Province on Thursday (24/11), among others, Director General of Information and Public Communication (Dirjen IKP) Kominfo Usman Kansong, Assistant Deputy for Public Relations and Protocol of Secretariat Said Muhidin, as well as members public relations from Ministries/Institutions, BUMN, BUMD, PTN, and local government.
