The Accounting Study Program, Vocational Education Program, Universitas Indonesia (UI) won the “Superior” accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) on Tuesday (24/05/2022). This UI Vocational Achievement is written in the Decree of BAN-PT No. 3139/SK/BAN-PT/AK-ISK/Dipl-III/V/2022.

Since 2020, BAN-PT has changed its accreditation rating from A, B, and C, to Superior, Excellent, and Good. Study programs that already have an A Accreditation rating can equalize their accreditation status to Superior with a Conversion Supplemental Instrument (CSI) or convert from an International accreditation. CSI is an additional accreditation instrument that is used to make decisions on converting the accredited rating obtained with the 7 Standard Higher Education Accreditation Instrument (APT 2.0) into a new accreditation rating in accordance with the APT 3.0 instrument, namely the 9 Criteria Accreditation Instrument.

The Director of the UI Vocational Education Program, Padang Wicaksono, S.E., Ph.D, expressed his appreciation to all academics involved in this achievement. “The ‘Superior’ accreditation achieved by the UI Vocational Accounting study program can push us to continue to improve the quality of implementing study programs that reach international standards. In addition, this achievement can also be an example for other study programs so that they can achieve the same accreditation and maintain it,” said Padang.

He added, as a vocational education program provider, Vocational UI continues to strive to provide the best education services in Southeast Asia and will continue to improve the quality of education services so that other study programs can participate in obtaining “Superior” accreditation.

The UI Vocational Education Program has 15 study programs for Associate Experts at the Diploma 3 (D3) level and Applied Bachelor at the Diploma 4 (D4) level. There are nine study programs for Associate Expert level, namely Hospital Administration, Accounting, Public Relations, Creative Advertising, Multimedia Broadcasting, Insurance and Actuarial Administration, Financial and Banking Administration, Office Administration, and Tax Administration. Meanwhile, there are six study programs for the Applied Bachelor level, namely Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Records and Archives Management, Creative Business, Media Production, and Tourism Business Management.
