A smooth-sailing study and brilliantly achieving success are two things that Amato has accomplished. In this year, he has reached the podium twice for winning the competition. After successfully achieving victory last September, Muhammad Aqsha Aufarahim Amato Rudolph won again in the 2023 Indonesia Sentul Series of Motorsport (ISSOM) competition. This time, Amato, who is a student at the Faculty of Engineering (FT) at Universityas Indonesia (UI), took 1st place in Indonesia 2023 Touring Car Race (ITCR) 1200 Series 6.

This young racer who is part of the Toyota Gazzo Racing Indonesia (TGRI) Team won after a dramatic race. He started the race in second position, but was able to conquer the difficult corners at SIC and finished as First Place in the ITCR 1200 class. Amato drove the All New Toyota Agya GR Sport car skillfully, reaching the finish line in first position after passing 12 laps of the race that was full of challenges. Thanks to this victory, Amato completed his training period at TGRI and was ready to compete fully the following year.

“This victory is the result of consistency in learning and evaluating. I am committed to consistently achieving victory since the second series in this championship. Alhamdulillah, the experience of winning two podiums this year will be a valuable provision to face and maintain enthusiasm for the next racing season,” said Amato.

He managed to make history by climbing the podium twice in the ITCR 1200 class, after previously winning 1st place in the 2023 ITCR 1200 Series 3. With great enthusiasm, Amato said, “This racing championship is the most prestigious in Indonesia at the moment. I am very grateful to be able to achieve the first two podiums in ITCR 2023. The extraordinary support from the FTUI academic community provides extraordinary positive encouragement.”

Meanwhile, the support and upbringing of his parents, who taught little Amato to balance studies and hobbies, has become Amato’s guide to this day. Therefore, even though he focuses on pursuing hobbies to gain achievements, he does not abandon his educational obligations.

Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU., expressed high appreciation for Amato’s achievements last Sunday (19/11). “Amato’s ambition and dedication in accomplishing achievements is an example that other students should follow. Two podiums in one year is clear proof that persistence and hard work produce consistent achievements,” said Prof. Heri.

ISSOM 2023 is a car racing event that includes four national championship classes. The four National Championship classes being held at ISSOM 2023 by the Sentul Circuit are ITCR 1,200, ITCR 1,500, ITCR 1,600 MAX, and the newly rebranded ITCR 3,600 MAX. ISSOM 2023 was held in six series, starting in March until the final series in November.
