The Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FIA UI) held a preparation of the plan to study Willingness to Payfor Independent Gas Network provided by the State Gas Company (PGN) plan coordination meeting.

In his welcoming speech, Faculty of Administrative Science Universitas Indonesia’s Chief Secretary, Dr. Umanto, M.Sc., CFP., said that Faculty of Administrative Science UI consists of three departments, which are Business Administration Science, Fiscal Administration Science, and State Administration Science. This makes Faculty of Administrative Science UI able to conduct studies in various sectors without closing collaboration efforts with other disciplines.

Agree with the statement of The Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Indonesia Executive Secretary, Dr. Milla Sepliana Setyowati, M.Ak. as the Head of the Institute for the Study and Application of Administrative Sciences (LPPIA) Faculty of Administrative Sciences Universitas IndonesiaI and the Deputy Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration also gave remarks that the Faculty of Administrative Sciences UI welcomed the cooperation of these two agencies.

“In principle, we at the Faculty of Administrative Sciences UI welcome this collaboration. Our resources, including a team of experts, are competent in the required studies. We are also very open to collaborating with other experts from other disciplines within the UI,” said Milla.

Sub-coordinator of Household Gas Prices and Small Customers, Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas), Muhammad Arief Rokhman Hakim, S.T., M.Sc., said that the purpose of this collaboration is to evaluate the pricing policies that have been implemented in accordance with the purchasing power of the people in real terms.

“The collaboration between BPH Migas and Faculty of Administrative Science UI has become our basis for conducting studies related to Oil and Gas. On this occasion, the planned study is related to willingness to pay for the 2022 State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) for Gas Network,” said Muhammad Arief.

Furthermore, Arief explained that this study will be used as a basis for pricing in areas of Indonesia that do not yet have an existingprice which includes Siak District, Pelalawan District, West Tanjung Jabung District, East Ogan Komering Ulu District, Indramayu District, and Lumajang District.

“In the 2022 budget year, it is planned to build Jargas Mandiri in 17 operating areas in 46 regencies/cities in Indonesia with a commitment to price fixing according to market (community) capabilities in each region. This has an impact on the price of gas, which is cheaper than the price of LPG on the market, “said Arief again.
