We are all forced by circumstances to get out of these crisis situations in order to be able to continue carrying out activities, including in terms of education,” said Prof. Ari. Sitting among the graduates were Dr. Rieke Diah Pitaloka (Legislative Member of the House of Representatives 2019-2024) and Director of therectorGeneral of Information and Public Communication (DG IKP) of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics, Dr. Usman Kansong, who graduated from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences. Among the parents and spouses present were Fahri Hamzah (Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, 2014-2019) and West Nusa Tenggara Governor Dr. H. Zulkieflimansyah, S.E., M.Sc. With the implementation of simultaneous graduation in multiple locations, in addition to the Balairung on the UI Depok Campus, each faculty/school/program also carries out graduation processions spread across several locations on the Depok and Salemba Campuses. Graduates who were in Balairung were representative graduates from each faculty who achieved cum laude predicate, while other graduates followed the procession in their respective faculties.

After the procession ceremony at Balairung, the deans of faculties/schools/vocational directors released the graduates from their respective faculties. This graduation is a precious and proud moment, not only for the graduates, but also for their parents or guardians. In the future, graduation ceremonies that are again held offline by implementing strict health protocols will become a separate historical record for future generations.

“Together we improve research that is beneficial to our scientific field, adaptive to the dynamics of change around us, and make a real contribution as a dedication to the country of Indonesia,” said Prof. Ari.
