FASILKOM UI IS READY TO BECOME THE HOST OF THE PRESTIGIOUS ASIA PACIFIC ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE CONFERENCE “PRICAI 2023”
Depok, June 7th 2023. The Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Indonesia (Fasilkom UI) is ready to host The Pacific Rim International Conference on Artificial Intelligence (PRICAI) 2023. The 20th Edition of PRICAI will be held on 17th–19th of November 2023 in Jakarta. This event will be held in a hybrid manner and will be attended by hundreds of participants from countries in the Asia Pacific region as well as countries from the continents of Europe, Africa, and America.
PRICAI started its first edition in Japan in 1990 to encourage the development of science and technology, especially in Pacific Rim countries. The conference continues to grow, both in terms of participation and scope. Since 2019, PRICAI has become an international conference that is routinely held every year.
This year, PRICAI aims to become a forum for researchers, practitioners, educators, users of artificial intelligence (AI), and related communities to discuss theory, technology, applications, and current issues in the field of AI. Participants have the opportunity to carry out in-depth intellectual discourse, develop potential research collaborations, and improve professional skills in the field of artificial intelligence. PRICAI 2023 will be an important agenda, more so for Fasilkom UI, especially regarding the development of the AI field as a domain that is being intensively elaborated.
Dean of Fasilkom UI, Dr. Ir. Petrus Mursanto, M.Sc., who served as General Co-Chair of PRICAI 2023, said that Fasilkom UI was proud to be the main host at the 20th PRICAI event. According to him, this event is a momentum to show one’s abilities in technology development and research in the field of artificial intelligence. Organizing an international conference is Fasilkom UI’s real step as one of the leaders in education and research in the Asia Pacific region.
“We hope that through the PRICAI 2023 international conference, new ideas and good collaboration will emerge between Fasilkom UI and researchers, practitioners, industry, and the user community, especially in the field of AI,” said Dr. Petrus.
The implementation of PRICAI 2023 involves the management, lecturers, and Fasilkom UI alumni. Several lecturers that are involved include, Adila Alfa Krisnadhi, S.Kom., M.Sc., Ph.D. as PRICAI Local Organizing Chair 2023; Dr. Panca O. Hadi Putra, B.Sc., S.H., M.Bus. as Publicity Co-Chair; Evi Yulianti, S.Kom., M.Comp.Sc., Ph.D. as Workshop Co-Chair; and Fariz Darari, S.Kom., M.Sc., Ph.D. as Tutorial Co-Chair. As for Fasilkom UI alumni, Dr. Risman Adnan Mattotorang, will act as AI IMPACT Track Co-Chairs.
The PRICAI 2023 series of activities began with the preparation of the workshop agenda and call of papers. The technical submission for proposals for seminars and workshops (call for workshops) will be carried out in March–April 2023 and paper submissions is no later than June 12, 2023.
