In the effort to boost the position of the Universitas Indonesia (UI) at the global level, apart from creating a more innovative and collaborative education, each faculty at UI is actively collaborating and taking a close look at international prestigious campuses. One of those faculties is the Faculty of Economy and Business. Recently, the Dean of Faculty of Economy and Business UI, Teguh Dartanto, Ph.D., made a two-day visit to universities in Australia, with several meeting agendas.
The first agenda is to visit the University of Melbourne on 24 Mei 2022. In this schedule, The Dean of Faculty of Economy and Business UI is planned to meet Professor Paul Kofman (Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics), Professor Peter Gahan (Associate Dean Teaching & Learning), Professor Jennifer Grafton (Associate Dean in International Relations), and Professor Susan Ainsworth (Associate Dean Research) .
In this meeting, there are several agendas that were being discussed, some of them are the opportunity for students, alumnis, and researchers from UI to collaborate with the University of Melbourne; the second is about the double degree program; the third discussion is about the opportunity to do a global collaborative field research and collaborative research between UI and University of Melbourne.
On that occassion, a meeting with students of the undergraduate international program is also being held. The agenda for the meeting was a sharing session to hear experiences, feedback, and suggestions from students of the Double-Degree program studying at the University of Melbourne.
Furthermore, the Dean of FEB UI held the third meeting with Prof. Mike Ewing, PRT Chair (Executive Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law at Deakin University). In that meeting, the Dean of the Faculty of Economy and Business UI aimed to obtain better tips and suggestions to prepare for the visitation activities of The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) at the Faculty of Economy and Business UI
lastly, the fourth meeting was held on May 25, 2022 with the Center for Development Economics and Sustainability (CDES) Team from Monash University. The meeting was held together with Prof. Asad Islam, who is the Director of CDES, and was attended by three team members. This collaboration discussed various collaboration which will be done by CDES with the Faculty of Economy and Business UI. The collaboration includes organizing Short Course Executive Education with the target market executives from State Owned Companies or the National Development Planning Agency who are interested in studying research methods and data analysis.
