Depok, August 16th 2023. Students have a role as agents of change, thus they are expected to have a combination of essential qualities and skills. Their creativity and innovation will become capital in facing the challenges of the times. LeadSeries 2023 provides an opportunity for students to be present as agents of change through the LeadTalk talk show which was held on 11th-12th of August 2023 at the Purnomo Prawiro Multipurpose Hall, UI Depok Campus. This event presented various speakers from various backgrounds and expertise, one of whom was Chelsea Islan, actress and Co-Founder of Youth of Indonesia who also works in empowering Indonesian youth to support the sustainability of life.
LeadSeries is one of the Association Internationale des Étudiants En Sciences Économiques et Commerciales (AIESEC) programs at Universitas Indonesia (UI). All first and second year students can participate in AIESEC through an open recruitment process called Join AIESEC. This year, Join AIESEC UI is open from August 10th 2023 to August 26th 2023 for the first batch. The second batch will be opened on 15-24 September 2023. AIESEC in UI exists as a forum that encourages leadership development, cross-cultural understanding, and sustainable social contributions. It has various programs that aim to form a quality young generation with strong leadership skills, social skills, and global understanding.
This year, LeadSeries 2023 offers four main events, namely LeadVoice, Global LeadSpace, LeadVisit, and LeadTalk. In the LeadVisit series on July 27th 2023, AIESEC in UI had the opportunity to visit Bank Danamon which presented leaders who have expertise in their respective fields. One of them is Evi Damayanti who serves as Chief of Human Capital at Bank Danamon Indonesia and is also an AIESEC alumni.
Local Committee President of AIESEC at Universitas Indonesia 2023, Kiara Anindita from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, said that, “A visit to Bank Danamon is not just an ordinary company visit, it is a unique opportunity to gain valuable insight into the extraordinary journey of committed individuals in shaping Danamon into its current position. “Through this partnership, it gives us deeper insight from the key figures who drive the company’s success,” said Kiara.
