Depok, June 13th 2023. The PRAction, which was organized by students of the Vocational Education Program, Universitas Indonesia (UI), this year has the theme ” Fierce Future Generation “. The highlight of the event took place at the UI Vocational Auditorium, Depok Campus (Thursday, 8/6), attended by Yuliandre Darwis Ph.D. (adviser to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia), three speakers for the talk show, namely Ronny Barra Pratama (Chairman of the DPD KNPI Jakarta), Khadijah Al Makiyah (Psychologist and Sociopreneur), Syafiul Muktapa (CEO of Talking Pede Academy), students from other higher education institutions who were nominees for the competition category, as well as UI lecturers and students.

Various categories of competition were competed at the PRAction 2023 event, namely the Debate Competition, Public Speaking, PR Campaign, Posters, and Creative Video. The competitions were open for young people to explore their creativity and talents in accordance with national standards.

Yuliandre Darwis responded positively to PRAction 2023 and was of the opinion that in welcoming Indonesia’s demographic bonus in 2030, the younger generation has an important role to play in building the national economy. “The characteristics of young people who are creative, adaptive and innovative must continue to be developed so that they can be competitive in the industrial revolution 4.0 and the digital economy,” he said. PRAction 2023, he said, was an effort to train the younger generation to be innovative and creative by utilizing digital skills.

At the highlight event of PRAction 2023, a talk show and winner announcement of the competition were presented with the theme “Pioneers of Innovation: The Role of Young People in Enhancing Indonesia’s Image in the Eyes of the World”. Barijani Mahesa Putra, a student of the Public Relations Study Program who is a national athlete in the roller skating branch and an outstanding student at the 2022 UI Vocational Program, became the moderator who guided the talk show.

UI Vice Director for Resources, Ventures and Vocational General Administration, Priyanto, SS, M.Hum., believed that, “PRAction 2023 is a form of our commitment to be an important part in preparing a superior, creative, and globally competitive young generation.”

The winners of the Debate Competition were M. Fauzan Ilham, Androw Ferdinand, and Laily Nazwa Muslim from UI. The second place was won by students from SMAN 77 Jakarta, consisting of Riyaan Baihaqi, Dorojatun Danisrayyan Dhaifan Muhammad, and Rafa Rally Soelistiono. The third winner was UI students (Futihat Nurul Karimah, Keisya Alifia Purwadi, and John Barcley Simamora).

Winner of the News Anchor competition category was Moh. Iman Samiaji (1st place) from Moestopo University, Devita Riana (2nd place) from Padjadjaran University, and Manogar Hutasoit (3rd place) from Udayana University. For the Digital Poster competition, the 1st palace winner was Rotua Rahmad Rajana Soleh from Padjadjaran University, 2nd place winner Muhammad Iqbal Azinuddin Hazmi from Bumi Bershalawat Sidoarjo Progressive High School, and 3rd place winner Saeful Rochman from Padjadjaran University. In addition, the Neverland Squad won the Creative Video competition, which consisted of Omegared Yohanis Nababan and Reza Pardamean Gurning from Jenderal Ahmad Yani University, Yogyakarta. The 2nd place was won by the Falyafi Project (Idfi Widya Kusuma, Putri Cahyaningtias, and M. Nurul Falachi) from the University of Muhammadiyah Malang, and the 3rd place was won by Smasif Production (Ramzy Fauzan Maarif, Faiq Admaja Wibowo, and Waode Aulia Z) from Bumi Bershalawat Sidoarjo Progressive High School.

Meanwhile, the winner of the PR Campaign competition was the Tap In Team from Padjadjaran University consisting of Janebethia Alice Riamelia, Nadira Armatia Alifah, and Nazhifah Zalfa. 2nd place was won by the TimTam Team from Udayana University (I Made Doddy Krisna Prayogha, Putu Shinta Cili Narungan, and Ni Putu Jessica Sasi) and 3rd place was won by the Fortuna Team from Padjadjaran University (Destiny Aulia, Deihani Thessalonika, and Geeriza Vittoria).

PRAction 2023 was a project of Public Relations study program students as a form of practical implementation from the Special Event Project Management and Protocol course. Students are invited to make an event by going through various processes, both pre-event, event and post-event. This activity was attended by visitors from various regions, such as Sidoarjo, Medan, Bandung, Bali and others. The event was also supported by sponsors, namely McDonald’s, Good Day Coffee, Raudha by IdaFashion, and Aprilia.hairstudio.
