It was led by the Deputy Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration, Drg. Kartini Sally, M.M. The BTN educational scholarship includes social responsibility assistance for the environment worth IDR 200.000.000. This is a real contribution to improving and developing the resources of dentistry graduates.

Those students are Ilham (2018), Dodi Valentino Tambun (2020), Lathana Larissa Adrine (2020), Namira Khairiyah (2021), Muhammad Siraj Syandi (2021), Basira Ferizka (2023), and Nisrina Najla Azis (2023). The scholarship applicants must meet all eligibility requirements, such as proof of active student, a transcript, a statement of willingness for scholarship application data check, a certificate of not being an active smoker, a salary slip or parents’ income statement, and an essay about eligibility as a scholarship recipient.

“This scholarship from BTN is proof that the Faculty of Dentistry UI has succeeded in building a good collaboration with various partners. We hope this collaboration can help the students meet their financial needs during their studies at the Faculty of Dentistry UI. We will continue to strive to find solutions so that no students drop out of college because of financial circumstances,” said Drg. Kartini Sally, M.M., at the scholarship handover held at the University of Indonesia Health Sciences Cluster on Wednesday (27/12).

She also added that this opportunity will be expanded to involve several agencies and multinational companies to increase the number of scholarship awardees in the future. Meanwhile, Irawaty Puspitasari, Sub Branch Head of BTN KCP UI, said that the distribution of education scholarships is a social responsibility in education that BTN has pioneered for a long time. “UI, the best campus in Indonesia, is a priority partner in collaborating to support educational scholarships,” said Irawaty.

As one of the scholarship awardees, Dodi Valentino Tambun expressed his gratitude that his financial circumstances do not hinder him from pursuing his dream of becoming a dentist. Dodi received professional education costs for four semesters, consisting of Institutional Development Fees and tuition fees worth IDR 60.000.000.

“This scholarship has helped my family and me fulfill the academic costs. I had already asked the faculty to ask for a tuition fee reduction, and today, God has made a way through the support of the Faculty of Dentistry UI and BTN. Thus, I no longer need to worry about finances during my studies. Now, I can focus on my studies and strive to be my best version,” said Dodi.
