The Directorate of Career Development and Alumni Relations (DPKHA) of Universitas Indonesia has relaunched the Sahabat Makara crowdfunding platform via sahabatmakara.ui.ac.id. website. Sahabat Makara is a crowdfunding platform that involves UI alumni in raising UI Endowment Funds. This platform was relaunched to get genuine support and involvement from UI alumni.
The Sahabat Makara platform now offers a user-friendly interface that can reach UI alumni. This update allows alumni and donors to contribute to the university’s development more easily and comfortably. It makes online donations easier and helps alumni to stay connected with their alma mater through news and information.
DKPHA UI has carried out a social media campaign to increase awareness of the importance of the UI Endowment Fund for the university’s progress through Sahabat Makara’s Instagram (@sahabatmakara). By utilizing social media platforms, Sahabat Makara campaign has succeeded in gaining attention and reaching UI alumni. Hopefully, the conversations and interactions on social media will inspire alumni to participate in supporting the UI Endowment Fund.
“The success of Sahabat Makara and actions to raise UI Endowment Funds more broadly would not have been possible without the full support of alumni from various faculties at UI. Alumni commitment and collaboration towards the university’s mission are important in driving UI’s progress. By supporting Sahabat Makara and actively participating in fundraising initiatives, alumni have contributed to UI’s future,” said the Director of DKPHA UI, Ir. Ahmad Syafiq, MSc., Ph.D.
With the spirit of giving back to the alma mater, hopefully, all alumni, faculty, and other stakeholders will continue to support Sahabat Makara and strengthen the spirit of togetherness to advance knowledge, enrich intellectual life, and encourage the university’s academic excellence. Through interactive features and content, Sahabat Makara also hopes to foster a sense of belonging and pride in UI alumni and encourage them to participate and contribute actively to shaping UI’s future.
UI remains committed to fostering strong relationships with alumni and looks forward to their support in driving the university’s excellence. With the relaunch of the Sahabat Makara website and social media campaign, UI is entering a new era of innovation and alumni collaboration that impacts higher education.
