Two students of the Universitas Indonesia (UI) Vocational Education Program Andika Pratama, a student of the Tax Administration study program, Vocational Education Program, and Salwa Rafila, a student of the Hospital Administration study program, won titles at the Abang None Jakarta 2022 Summit. Andika Pratama won the title of Abang Jakarta 2022, while Salwa Rafila received the crown of First Deputy of None Jakarta 2022.
Andika said that being an Abang Jakarta is an implementation of sincerity by treating Jakartans like family so that they feel that Abang and None Jakarta are an important part of themselves. He added, “The manners and behaviors of Abang and None should be inclusive, that is, someone who can place themselves in all circles, has a high social spirit, has great empathy, emotional intelligence, and positive energy. For me, Abang and None Jakarta is not just an annual ceremonial event, but it must have an impact on the country.”
The finalists of Abang None Jakarta 2022 also attended quarantine for debriefing, assessment, and judging. Some of the briefings given are various things related to tourism, psychology, creative economy, communication, Betawi culture, and government.
In this activity, Andika carried a campaign with the tag #JakartaForEveryone with the intention that Jakarta as a global city, not only focuses on infrastructure development, but also on the development of human resources. Equality is an important form of development in Jakarta as a global city. He wants #JakartaForEveryone to continue to echo and reverberate in the city.
“I hope to be a role model for the younger generation to work and serve the community. Currently, I have established the Million Hands for the Nation program which is engaged in education for out-of-school children, disabilities, and underprivileged children,” said Andika.
At the same event, Salwa Rafila, who was previously the Second Deputy None of South Jakarta 2022 managed to advance to the final night of Abang None Jakarta 2022 which was held at the Ciputra Artpreneur Theater in South Jakarta, on Friday (02/09). Salwa shared her experiences during the quarantine and debriefing process. “I learned many things, one of which is a change in perspective on how to think. Being None is not only about being a good and smart woman, but also being sincere,” Salwa said.
During her time as First Deputy of None Jakarta 2022, Salwa will run a program to increase social awareness about vaccination dose 3 or booster. “Until now, the achievement of the 3rd dose of vaccine has only reached 25%. So, as a student in the health sector, I continue to strive to increase education and socialization regarding the importance of dose 3 vaccines,” she said.
Director of UI Vocational Education Program, Padang Wicaksono, expressed his pride for Andika and Salwa’s achievements. According to him, becoming Abang and None Jakarta is one of the efforts that can be made by the younger generation as tourism ambassadors to introduce Jakarta’s culture.
“We really support the activities that Abang Andika and None Fila will carry out while serving as Abang None Jakarta. I hope the program that is being run can provide benefits to the wider community,” said Padang.
