Every year during new student admissions, interest in becoming a University of Indonesia (UI) student shows a positive picture. For more than a decade, as a superior and independent campus, UI has been meeting prospective students through UI Open Days. This year, for the 12th time, UI will hold the annual event through UI Open Days 2024 on April 27-28, 2024 at Balairung and Council Hall, UI Depok Campus.
Visitors will get direct educational information from various faculties, ranging from Diploma to Postgraduate levels, from 14 Faculties, 1 Vocational Education Program and 2 Postgraduate Schools at UI. As in previous years, it is predicted that visitors will reach around 10,000 more, coming from various regions in Indonesia.
In 2024, in accordance with the UI Open Days theme “Empowering Your Journey: Unlocking Opportunities at UI”, empowering students to explore the various opportunities and potential that exist at UI is the focus. Prospective new students will be introduced to various aspects, such as innovation, leadership, collaboration, and self-development.
Head of UI’s Public Relations and Public Information Disclosure Bureau, Dra. Amelita Lusia, M.Si. said, “Visitors will get detailed information about the things that are UI’s added value as an inclusive campus, from each faculty, postgraduate program, and vocational education program. Both information related to curriculum, facilities and infrastructure at the Salemba Campus and Depok Campus.”
The UI Open Days 2024 activities were divided into two groups. The first group in Balairung with activities on Saturday, April 27, 2024, included presentations about the faculty, games sessions, socialization of new student admissions, and motivational seminars from the main outstanding students of the 2024 Undergraduate and Vocational Programs. On the second day (Sunday, April 28, 2024) the event was filled with UI alumni who are successful in the career world. Salwa Rafila, an alumnus of the 2019 Hospital Administration Department Vocational Program, a 2021 Vocational Education Program top achiever student and 2022 Puteri Indonesia Riau Islands, will share her experiences while studying at UI. In addition, visitors can feel the atmosphere of being a yellow jacket student and enjoy the beautiful environment of the Depok Campus using the UI Yellow bus.
The second group is located in the Council Hall. Here there will be an International Class presentation session. On Saturday, April 27, 2024, there will be presentation sessions for the social and humanities clusters and on the second day (Sunday, April 28, 2024) presentations from the science, technology and health clusters. While enjoying the event, visitors can also visit the booths available at both locations to obtain comprehensive information about Undergraduate, Vocational, and Postgraduate Programs. Each faculty will set up an information booth where visitors can interact directly with officers to get comprehensive information about the faculty and study program of interest.
