The Faculty of Engineering, University of Indonesia (FTUI) adds classroom facilities with high technology as part of preparation for lectures in the era of new normal New Normal Classroom is the realization of the collaboration between FTUI and PT Paragon Paragon Technology and Innovation. UI Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. rer.nat. Abdul Haris, Dean of FTUI, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, ST., M.Eng., IPU., and Group CEO of ParagonCorp, Harman Subakat, attended the inauguration of FTUI New Normal Classroom was held on Wednesday (25/05) at the FTUI Depok campus.
“New Normal Classroom is a classroom system that uses the latest technology to improve the quality of student learning during the pandemic period into the future.” With a hybrid learning system, face-to-face capacity restrictions, and easy-to-clean rooms, the New Normal Classroom is able to optimize teaching and learning activities while maintaining the safety of the Faculty of Engineering UI academic community during this pandemic. In the future, Faculty of Engineering UI will continue to increase the number of Smart Classrooms, both large and small,” said the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Indonesia (FTUI) Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, ST., M.Eng., IPU.
Ruang Smart Classroom new normal FTUI merupakan ruang kelas yang modern dan interaktif serta dilengkapi dengan meja dan kursi yang dapat diatur formasinya sesuai dengan mode perkuliahan. In addition, this classroom is also equipped with interactive smart boards, smart TVs,poly studio facilities, and smart projectors that have various advanced features to support various offline and hybrid learning models.
In his welcoming speech, Prof. Abdul Haris said, “The construction of learning facilities at UI aims to facilitate teaching and learning activities in order to build an innovation ecosystem among students. UI is very grateful for Paragon’s commitment to this development through one of its CSR pillars, namely education. We hope that, with the support of industry, in this case Paragon, the existing learning facilities can be a catalyst for the spirit of innovation among students to create new breakthroughs that are able to build the nation.”
