In order to support the achievement of the vision of a developed Indonesia, the Ministry of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (KemenPAN-RB) is taking concrete steps to accelerate bureaucratic reform through the development of integrity zones. The integrity zone is a pilot work unit that is free from various practices of Corruption, Collusion and Nepotism, has fast and excellent service, and shows direct changes that are felt by the community.

To realize this, comprehensive development is needed in the governance of the work unit on six matters, namely: change management, structuring governance, structuring human resource management, strengthening performance accountability, strengthening supervision, and strengthening the quality of public services. Since 2020, Universitas Indonesia (UI) has designated the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) as a work unit that participates in the selection of Integrity Zone development representing the University.

In its second attempt in 2021, FPH UI won an award for its achievement as a service work unit with a predicate towards a Corruption-Free Area. FPH UI won this award along with 588 other work units throughout Indonesia and 17 work units under the Ministry of Education and Culture Research, Technology.

The award was given by the Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform, Tjahyo Kumolo on Monday, December 20, 2021 virtually. The appreciation and awarding of the Integrity Zone Towards Corruption-Free Area and WBBM titled Making Change Make History was organized by the Deputy for Bureaucratic Reform, Apparatus Accountability, and Supervision of KemenPAN-RB.

In the process of participating in the development of the Corruption-Free Zone Integrity Zone, FPH UI has gone through various stages starting from document preparation, filling in and verifying the Evaluation Worksheet (LKE), participating in the implementation of the Public Service Survey and Anti-Corruption Prevention carried out by the Internal Assessment Team until it finally passed along with a number of work units under the Ministry of Education and Culture-Research, external surveys and online visitation in November 2021 by the KemenPAN-RB team.

Chairperson of the ZI FPH UI Task Force, Prof. Dr. dr. Sabarinah, M.Sc, said, “This is the work and achievement of the joint efforts of people in FPH UI with the support of UI. With 9 UI VALUES, it is expected to be a value that crystallizes in each individual UI academic community. Hopefully this predicate can be maintained in the future and UI can always improve the quality of service to the public.”

Chair of the FPH UI ZI Task Force, University Secretary Dr. Agustin Kusumayati, M.Sc, Ph.D expressed her pride and hope, “Impressive cooperation, cohesiveness, and sincerity have been demonstrated by all members of the FPH UI Integrity Zone Team. I believe this achievement will inspire all work units at Universitas Indonesia to follow in the footsteps of FPH UI to become an Integrity Zone Towards WBK-WBBM.”

The Integrity Zone Award was attended offline by dr. Agustin Kusumayati, M.Sc, Ph.D.; Dean of FPH UI, Prof. dr. Mondastri Korib Sudaryo, MS., DSc.; Head of the Bureau of Transformation, Risk Management and Evaluation Monitoring (TREM) UI, Vishnu Juwono, SE, MIA, Ph.D.; vice deans, and faculty leaders.
