Universitas Indonesia (UI) appointed two new deans, namely the deans from the Faculty of Engineering (FT) and the Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) for the 2022-2026 period, as well as 18 Deputy Deans from the Faculty of Computer Science (Fasilkom), Faculty of Pharmacy (FF), Faculty of Medicine (FK), Faculty of Humanities (FIB), Faculty of Psychology (F.Psi), Faculty of Public Health (FKM), Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), and Faculty of Nursing ( FIK) on Friday, January 7, 2022.
During the inauguration ceremony, UI Rector Prof. Ari Kuncoro, S.E., M.A., Ph.D., was present as the supervisor of the inauguration ceremony and inaugurated the deans. This ceremony was attended by two witnesses namely, Chairman of the Board of Trustees Saleh Husin, M.Sc., and Chairman of the University Academic Senate Prof. Nachrowi Djalal Nachrowi, M.Sc., M.Phil., Ph.D. The two deans appointed were the dean of FT Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, ST., M.Eng., and the dean of FKG Dr. drg Nia Ayu Ismaniati, MDSc., SpOrt.(K). The inauguration was carried out in a hybrid mode, which was offline in each faculty and in the UI superiors’ room.
In his speech, Prof. Ari Kuncoro congratulated the newly appointed deans and deputy deans. He hoped that the presence of new superiors could provide new enthusiasm and inspiration for UI. The Rector also expressed his gratitude to the previous deans and deputy deans who have made extraordinary contributions. “The positive things left behind will be the legacy of you,” he said.
“The deans and deputy deans are like torchbearers who always have to be at the forefront. The glow cannot be extinguished because it is a guideline for faculty members to reach one point,” said Prof. Ari.
The UI Rector believes that all have the same hope and belief in bringing UI to that point. “UI is in a prestigious position in terms of national and global rankings, produces leading research and innovation, and has an impact on society, as well as the achievements of UI lecturers and students according to their fields of knowledge. We will jointly realize UI as an Entrepreneurial University,” said Prof. Ari.
On the occasion, the UI Rector also inaugurated 18 Deputy Deans for the 2022-2026 period, namely, Ari Saptawijaya, Ph.D., as the Deputy Dean for Education, Research and Student Affairs at Fasilkom; Prof. Dr. Achmad Nizar Hidayanto as the Deputy Dean for Resources, Ventures and General Administration of Fasilkom; Dr. Fadlina Chany Saputri, M.Si, Apt., as the Deputy Dean for Education, Research and Student Affairs at FF; Dr. Sutriyo, M.Sc., Apt., as the Deputy Dean for Resources, Ventures and General Administration at FF; Prof. Dr. dr. Dwiana Ocviyanti, Sp.OG(K), MPH, as the Deputy Dean for Education, Research and Student Affairs at FK; dr. Anis Karuniawati, SpMK(K), PhD., as the Deputy Dean for Resources, Ventures and General Administration at FK.
From FIB, UI Rector inaugurated Dr. Joesana Tjahjani, S.S., M.Hum., as the Deputy Dean for Education, Research and Student Affairs and Dr. Taufik Asmiyanto, S.S., M.Sc., as the Deputy Dean for Resources, Ventures and General Administration. From F.Psi, Dicky C. Pelupessy, Ph.D., was appointed as the Deputy Dean for Education, Research and Student Affairs and Dra. Herta Napitupulu, M.M., Psikolog, as the Deputy Dean for Resources, Ventures and General Administration. Meanwhile, from FKM, Dr. Ir. Asih Setiarini, M.Sc., as the Deputy Dean for Education, Research and Student Affairs and Dr. Milla Herdayati, SKM, M.Sc., as the Deputy Dean for Resources, Ventures and General Administration.
In addition, from FEB, UI Rector appointed Arief Wibisono Lubis, S.E., M.F.M., M.Sc., Ph.D., as the Deputy Dean for Education, Research and Student Affairs and Nanda Ayu Wijayanti, S.E., Ak., M.B.A., Ph. .D., as the Deputy Dean for Resources, Ventures and General Administration. From FMIPA, Dr. rer. nat. Budiawan was appointed as the Deputy Dean for Education, Research and Student Affairs and Dr. Tito Latif Indra, S.Si, M.Si, as the Deputy Dean for Resources, Ventures and General Administration. From FIK, Dessie Wanda, S.Kp., M.N., Ph.D., as the Deputy Dean for Education, Research and Student Affairs and Dr. Nani Nurhaeni, S.Kp., M.N., as the Deputy Dean for Resources, Ventures and General Administration, Faculty of Nursing.
In the event, there was also a signing of the handover of position from the previous deans to the Rector and the oath-taking of the new deans and deputy deans led by the UI Rector. Previously, at the end of December 2021, the UI Rector had inaugurated 10 new deans from FEB, FKM UI , Fasilkom, FMIPA, FIK, FK, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, F.Psi, FF, and FIB.
