Universitas Indonesia (UI) inaugurated four new deans from Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Faculty of Psychology (F.Psi), Faculty of Pharmacy (FF), and Faculty of Humanities (FIB). The inauguration of the four new deans, which was carried out by UI Rector Prof. Ari Kuncoro, S.E., M.A., Ph.D., was attended by Chairman of the Board of Trustees Saleh Husin, M.Sc. and Chairman of the University Academic Senate Prof. Nachrowi Djalal Nachrowi, M.Sc., M.Phil., Ph.D., as witnesses, on Monday, December 20, 2021.
Those who were appointed were Dean of FISIP Prof. Dr. Semiarto Aji Purwanto, Dean of F. Psi Dr. Bagus Takwin, M. Hum., Psychologist., Dean o FF Prof. Dr.apt. Arry Yanuar, M.Sc., and Dean of FIB Dr. Bondan Kanumoyoso, M. Hum. The inauguration was conducted in a hybrid mode—the offline mode was conducted in their respective faculties and in the rooms of UI superiors.
In his speech, Prof. Ari Kuncoro expressed his congratulations and hopes that the presence of the newly inaugurated deans can provide new enthusiasm and inspiration for UI which is transforming into an Entrepreneurial University.
“Currently, we are in the midst of a world that moves very dynamically, so we must be anticipatory and adaptive to the changes that occur due to the continuous development of information and communication technology,” he said.
The UI Rector said that it is like a locomotive of change in which the deans are at the forefront of bringing “faculty members” on the traditional university train to Entrepreneurial University. “I am sure, if we all have the same hope and belief in bringing UI to a better direction, we can make it happen,” said Prof. Ari.
Inauguration of Prof. Dr. Semiarto Aji Purwanto as Dean of FISIP based on the Decree of UI Rector Number 2329/SK/R/UI/2021, Dr. Bagus Takwin, M.Hum., as Dean of F.Psi based on the Decree of UI Rector Number 2330/SK/R/UI/2021, Prof. Dr.apt. Arry Yanuar, M.Sc., as the Dean of FF based on the Decree of UI Rector Number 2331/SK/R/R/UI/2021, and Dr. Bondan Kanumoyoso, M.Hum., as Dean of FIB based on the Decree of UI Rector Number 2332/SK/R/UI/2021.
On December 10, 2021, UI has appointed six deans from Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Teguh Dartanto, Ph.D., Faculty of Public Health (FKM) Prof. dr. Mondastri Korib Sudaryo, MS., DSc., Faculty of Computer Science (Fasilkom) Dr. Ir. Petrus Mursanto, M.Sc., Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Dede Djuhana, Ph.D., Faculty of Nursing (FIK) Agus Setiawan, S.Kp., M.N., D.N., and Faculty of Medicine (FK) Prof. . Dr. dr. H. Ari Fahrial Syam.
During the event, the signing of the position handover was also held from the previous dean to the Rector, and the oath-taking for the new dean led by the UI Rector.
