On Monday, February 20th 2017, Ambassador of Georgia for Indonesia, Zurab Aleksidze, visited UI in order to give 19 books from The Embassy of Georgia at the Rector Room, Pusat Administrasi, UI Depok.
In his visit, Aleksidze greeted by oleh Prof.Dr.Ir. Muhammad Anis, M. Met. (Rector of UI), Prof. Melda Kamil Ariadno (Head of UI International Office), and Fuad Gani, MA (Head of UI Library).
The visit was also part of reciprocal visit of Rector UI Entourage visit to Embassy of Georgia last year.
There were 19 books in English language that were granted from Georgia Embassy to UI with various subject, such as fiction, history and culture.
Among of the books that were granted was The Knight in The Panther Skin, Flight from The USSR, and On Contemporary Georgian Fiction.
Head of UI Library said that the books will be part of UI Library collection and will be displayed at special room on UI Library ground floor.
“It happened that the books are in English, so there will be no problem for pubic to read the books. The book will be displayed when it suited the monthly theme,” said him.
