Entering its 62nd year, as the best Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) in Indonesia, FKG Universitas Indonesia (UI) continues to innovate in order to continue to maintain its reputation. For this reason, in order to face future challenges in preparing professional dentistry graduates, good infrastructure support is needed in accordance with the needs and technological advances in dentistry.
Due to this motivation, the Faculty of Dentistry for the first time held “Charity Golf UI” at Damai Indah Golf, Pantai Indah Kapuk, on Saturday (12/11). This event was held to celebrate the Anniversary of FKG UI and at the same time to embrace donors, both individuals and from various multinational companies, to support UI in efforts to improve and rejuvenate campus infrastructure. From the Charity Golf, it was recorded that the largest nominal donation came from Pertamina, ACA insurance, and Darwin Cyril Noerhadi.
The Charity Golf FKG UI series began with the hitting of a smoke ball by Deputy Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority Mirza Adityaswara, SE., M.App. Fin; Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs of UI Prof. Dr. err. nat. Abdul Haris, M.Sc.; Vice Chancellor for Human Resources and Assets of UI Prof. Dr. Ir. Dedi Priadi, DEA.; Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation of UI drg. Nurtami, Ph.D., Sp, OF(K); and Dean of FKG UI Dr. drg. Nia Ayu Ismaniati, MDSc., Sp.Ort(K). After the opening ceremony, as many as 100 participants went straight to their respective tee boxes to take part in the tournament with an 18 hole format.
“There is a lot of support from donors for the Charity Golf FKG UI, which makes us more optimistic that the improvement and rejuvenation of FKG UI campus facilities will be realized quickly. We extend our great appreciation to the sponsors and all parties who have participated and contributed to advancing FKG UI. Thank you for the kindness and generosity of the donors,” said the Dean of FKG UI.
As a form of appreciation to those who have contributed, the Dean of FKG UI handed over an award plaque in the form of wayang arjuna to one of the figures who played an important role in the success of this event, namely Mirza Adityaswara. He is one of the parents of the students. Meanwhile, the appreciation for the sponsors was given in the form of an award certificate.
Prof. Abdul Haris really welcomed the Charity Golf FKG UI. According to him, the existence of this tournament cannot only be seen as a mere competition, but there are social values reflected in it, namely cohesiveness and togetherness to support the progress of UI. Through this donation, Prof. Haris hopes that it can be used to improve infrastructure facilities in the campus environment.
Announcement of winners and drawing of the door prizes became the highlight of the event that the participants most anticipated. From the results of the competition, the winners for the novelties, the winners for the best points, and the winners for the best points overall ladies, the best point overall, and the best gross overall were obtained. Congratulations to the participants who won the “Charity Golf FKG UI” tournament. Rury Widjaja won best gross overall with a score of 78; best net overall won by Witjaksono Wibowo with a score of 70; category of men – flight A for best nett I won by Edwin Stamboel; category of men – flight B for best nett I won by Andi Novianto; category of men – flight C for best nett I won by Abiwodo; and categoy of women – all flight category for the best nett I went to Suleha Nur.
