Improving Human Resources Quality, Faculty of Administrative Sciences Universitas Indonesia Collaborates with Minahasa & North Minahasa District

The Faculty of Administrative Sciences of the Universitas Indonesia (FAS UI) together with Minahasa Regency and North Minahasa Regency signed a cooperation agreement on “Improving Human Resource Competencies Through the Tridharma of Higher Education in the Field of Administrative Sciences.” This cooperation is in the fields of education and teaching, research and development, and community service. This activity was held at the FAS UI Postgraduate Program, Mochtar Building, Central Jakarta, on Saturday (11/12).

In his opening speech, the Dean of Faculty Administrative Sciences Universitas Indonesia (FAS UI) Prof. Dr. Chandra Wijaya, M.Sc., MM. stated that FAS UI has an innovation and entrepreneurship program that fits the needs conveyed by the Deputy Governor of North Sulawesi at the last meeting. “In terms of improving welfare and alleviating poverty is through innovation, the district government must be agile. We at FAS have the right innovation and entrepreneurship program,” he said.

He added that with the shift from structural to functional State civil apparatus duties, this has made more of them choose to become Policy Analysts. “We have a study program called Public Policy Analyst. This can be utilized by the Minahasa Regent and the North Minahasa Regent. Next year we will open one new study program, namely Regional Tax Administration, Supervisory Administration, Regional Finance Administration, and Regional Asset Administration,” said Chandra.

Responding to this, the Regent of Minahasa, Dr. Ir. Royke Octavian Roring, M.Si. explained that Minahasa District is the main and largest district consisting of approximately 352 thousand inhabitants. “We believe that what we have initiated can really have a positive impact on the implementation of government, development, and social community in Minahasa District. What has been explained by Prof. Chandra if implemented will have an impact,” he said.

“We hope that this collaboration will be able to improve the quality of human resources in the ranks of the North Minahasa Dsitrict government to the villages as well,” said the Regent of North Minahasa, Joune J. E. Ganda, S.E., who expressed his joy at the establishment of this collaboration.

This activity was also attended by the Minahasa Regent and his staff, the North Minahasa Regent and his staff, members of the North Sulawesi Provincial Representative Council from the PDIP Faction, the Dean of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, the Deputy Dean for Research, Education and Student Affairs and their staff, the Deputy Dean for Resources, Ventures, and Administration.
