Wicensius Parulian Hasudungan, student of Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia (FKUI) year of 2011 successfully got an international appreciation, which was Top Ten APACPH Poster Award on 48th Asia Pacific Academic Consortium of Public Health (APACPH) Conference, that was held on September 16-19 September 2016 at Teikyo University, Japan.

APACPH was held in order to gather various ideas related to public health, as an effort to reach the highest health level for people in Asia-Pacific area. Theme for this year’s APACPH was “Create a Healthy Future with Competent Professionals”.

In APACPH 2016, besides participating in the conference, all participants were also asked to share their knowledge and competing by their research abstract. Wincensius Parulian Hasudungan, or use to be called Sudung, sent his research abstract that was titled “The Analysis of Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice of High Risk Pulmonary TB Community in order to Improve TB Case Detection Rate in Matraman District”.

After presenting his abstract in front of the judges, on the announcement time, Sudung was announced as the recipient of Top Ten APACPH Poster Award for his research and its presentation.

On the interview with Public Relation Team of FKUI, Sudung shared tips for his colleagues who wants to participating in international conference. “Make sure you love to research. Then find theme or topic that interests you. I was interested with primary care, that also became my preparation for internship,” said him as the interview ended.
