“Universitas Indonesia (UI) has announced 625 prospective new students who passed Talent Scouting last Wednesday (17/4). This year, the total number of registrants was 1,577 participants from 354 invited schools, which increased from last year’s 1,437 participants from 353 schools. Overall, the prospective new students accepted are school graduates from 15 provinces in Indonesia and two schools from abroad, Al Zhuhour School Sharjah and American School Dhahran,” said Amelita Lusia M.Si., Head of Bureau Public Relations and Openness of Public Information at UI. Talent Scouting is a new student admission program based on academic achievement for high school students who want to pursue education in an English-language environment in UI’s International Undergraduate Class. This program is supported by collaboration with international universities. Talent Scouting selects students based on academic achievement and motivation letter. Specifically for Medical and Dentistry, there are Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) and Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) tests.
This year, the capacity for Talent Scouting has increased from the previous year. This increase will give bigger opportunities for prospective students to continue their education at the tertiary level. From the 2024 Talent Scouting selection, it was found that International Class Medical Education had a total of 324 applicants.
Prospective students, who are accepted through the 2024 Talent Scouting, can immediately re-register by verifying academic report, pre-registration, and payment of tuition fees. Report verification will be from April 18 to April 22, 2024 and the results will be announced on April 23, 2024 at 16.00 WIB.
Furthermore, prospective students who have passed the report verification will receive a Student Number (NPM), which is used for pre-registration. Pre-registration is done at http://pra-registrasi.ui.ac.id/ from April 23 to May 1, 2024. Then, tuition fees can be paid from May 1 to May 10, 2024.
