Universitas Indonesia (UI) has announced that 2,105 new students passed the selection via SNBP (achievement-based selection) out of 27,754 participants who chose UI. The SNBP results are announced on the SNBP website https://snpmb.bppp.kemdikbud.go.id/ or https://snbp.ui.ac.id/ by entering the registration number and date of birth.
Director General of Higher Education, Research and Technology (Dirjen Diktiristek) Prof. Dr. rer. Nat. Abdul Haris, M.Sc., emphasized that in accordance with the regulations by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research & Technology (Kemendikbudristek), participants who have passed the SNBP 2024 cannot register for the SNBT (test-based selection) and Mandiri selection at any public university. This strategy is being implemented to increase the number of students in higher education.
New students accepted by UI from the SNBP selection are students from 893 schools, consisting of 736 from Senior High Schools (SMA), 100 from Madrasah Aliyah (MA), and 57 from Vocational High Schools (SMK). These schools come from 207 cities/regencies from 38 Indonesian provinces and abroad. Moreover, 265 people were KIP-Kuliah awardees (scholarships). The number of KIP-Kuliah awardees increased from the previous year, namely 224 people.
This year, the most popular study program with 2024 SNBP participants from the Science, Engineering, and Health group is the Medical Education with 1,720 applicants. Meanwhile, the Social Humanities group is the Law program with 1,634 applicants.
Head of the UI New Student Admissions Office (PMB) Dr. Gunawan, S.T., M.T., said, “Congratulations to new UI students who have passed the 2024 SNBP. Those who have not passed still have the opportunity to take other selections, namely UTBK-SNBT and Mandiri UI. For future students who want to take SNBT, registration will continue until April 5, 2024, and Mandiri UI registration will start on June 19–July 8, 2024.
Prospective students who are accepted through the SNBP 2024 can immediately re-register by preparing documents and uploading them to the website https://penerimaan.ui.ac.id/verifikasi on 27–30 March 2024. UI will carry out report verification and the results will be announced on April 5, 2024.
